Iliwa Safaris is a registered hunting outfitter in the Eastern Cape province of South Africa. It is owned by the 5th generation Dorfling family, farming on the ranch Rietfontein. Father and son, Cois and Francois Dorfling, are both professional hunters. Iliwa Safaris has been a registered hunting outfitter since 1990.



The ranch is situated approximately one and a half hours (1½ hrs) North West of Port Elizabeth. This is where most of the hunting will take place, depending on which animals are on your list. We aim to offer you a budget-friendly hunting experience, without compromising on excellence, in the Malaria Free Eastern Cape region of South Africa.

Our family is very aware of nature conservation. On the cliffs near the main homestead, where the name "Iliwa" originated, you will be able to see the nearly extinct black eagle and their breeding nests. The ranch is a voluntary conservation area and we are proud to say that we use only the correct ethical methods of hunting at all times.
